This self-paced course consists of reading and/or listening to content and answering assessment questions. 

By the end of this course, you should be able to

1. describe the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act, the Copeland Act, the Anti-Kickback Law, and the Walsh-Healy Act
2. explain what determines whether an employee is exempt or non-exempt under the FLSA
3. calculate overtime in situations where an employee receives a bonus, is paid a piece rate, or is on a salary
4. describe the direct and indirect effects of a minimum wage increase
5. explain the provisions of the Equal Pay Act
6. explain the provisions of the Small Business Job Protection Act
7. define “garnishment” and explain what is required by the Federal Wage Garnishment Law
8. describe the factors that determine whether someone is an independent contractor or an employee

Successful completion of this course requires passing all of the assessments at 100 percent. The assessments can be taken multiple times.
